The Semcer Center for Healthcare Innovation is a university-wide research center to augment Stevens' impact on healthcare.

Semcer Center for Healthcare Innovation, Stevens Institute of Technology.

In this fast-changing era where life expectancy is ever-increasing, and the individual and societal burden of medical care is tremendously escalated, an innovative and translational approach to healthcare is needed.

We seek routes of collaboration among our faculty, clinicians and industry partners by encouraging communication and networking. Our efforts also aim to foster students’ success in education, as well as expand opportunities for their career paths in healthcare-related industry, academia and government.

"It is my great honor to take over the leadership of the Semcer Center for Healthcare Innovation towards its next-phase development. Through brainstorming meetings and faculty seminar series, I was impressed by the talents of our faculty and their dedication to the healthcare-related innovation.

"With the new vision and mission crafted for the Center, we are ready to build an innovative eco-system composed of various stakeholders (academic researchers, clinical practitioners, industrial partners, etc.) and explore our convergent research endeavors in order to push the boundaries of healthcare and achieve broader societal impact.

"I look forward to working with many of you to propel the excellence of Stevens community in the healthcare domain."
