How to Get Involved in Research at Stevens
As an undergraduate student at Stevens, you'll have the opportunity to participate in research throughout the academic year and during the summer. Many professors and graduate students welcome undergraduates to assist with their projects, whether for academic credit, on a volunteer basis or as paid research assistants. Stevens also maintains strong partnerships with leading corporations that offer summer positions in their labs. You'll also receive guidance when applying to federal research labs and other competitive summer research programs. Several academic departments also provide courses and seminars that allow you to earn course credit while conducting research. Requirements and credit hours vary by department, so we encourage you to consult your academic advisor for complete details.

Nationally Competitive Research Scholarships
You can pursue transformative opportunities through prestigious programs such as the Goldwater Scholarship for STEM research, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program for global study and research, the SMART Scholarship supporting future leaders in defense-related fields and many more. Stevens provides personalized advising to help students craft strong applications and achieve their academic and professional goals. Some nationally competitive scholarships require a campus nomination, the details of which can be found at the Undergraduate Research and Fellowships Portal.
