The Stevens Undergraduate Cooperative Education Program is a competitive program that combines classroom education with practical real-world work experience. A Co-op experience allows students to alternate semesters of academic study with semesters of full-time paid professional work in a job related to the student’s academic program of study.
The Stevens Career Center plays a critical role in identifying and onboarding employers interested in recruiting and hiring Co-op Program students.

Employer eligibility requirements
- A minimum of 10 full-time employees 
- A physical office location regardless of the student’s work arrangements, (e.g., remote, hybrid, in-person) 
- An approved Employer Account on Handshake 
- Offer full-time paid co-op jobs related to eligible academic degree programs (listed below) 
- Post co-op jobs on Handshake 
- Request and read the Co-op Employer Participation Guidelines 
- Submit the Employer Participation Acknowledgment form
