Stevens Graduate School Reports Soaring Employment Outcomes for 2023
Over 97% of master’s and doctoral graduates achieved career success within six months of graduation
Members of Stevens Institute of Technology’s Graduate Class of 2023 are in high demand among industry leaders: More than 97% of master’s and doctoral graduates successfully secured a job within six months of graduation. They also achieved an impressive average salary of $89,437 six months post-graduation, with master’s graduates earning an average of $88,523 and doctoral graduates earning an average of $106,014.
Several programs across the university also celebrated a 100% job placement rate six months after graduation, including the School of Business’ financial analytics and management programs. The School of Engineering and Science’s bioengineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering and applied artificial intelligence programs, among others, along with the School of Systems and Enterprises’ software engineering and systems engineering programs, also achieved perfect job placement rates.
This standard of success is not surprising to Stevens Vice Provost for Graduate Education Constantin Chassapis, who notes sustained excellence among graduate student outcomes every year. “Their continuous advancement underscores the quality and relevance of our programs, the caliber of our students and the effectiveness of our support services in guiding them through their meticulously crafted pursuit of professional development goals,” he says.
In addition to the stellar job placement rate, Stevens continues to deliver on ROI. Graduates of the machine learning master’s program secured an average salary of $121,000 within six months of graduation. Other master’s programs with notable average salaries include data science at $109,571, financial engineering at $103,800 and space systems engineering at $103,000.
Significantly, 100% of doctoral graduates from SSB and SSE secured jobs within six months of graduation, as did 94% of those graduates in SES.
System engineering doctoral graduates maintain particularly high salaries, reporting an average of $175,000. Physics graduates have reported similar success with salaries averaging $156,667.
These outcomes, in addition to the recently released Undergraduate Class of 2023 Outcomes Report — which found an impressive 96.4% of graduates achieved their desired outcomes and had an average salary of $85,200 — represent the value of a Stevens education at all levels.
