Stevens Career Expo Opens Doors to Professional Opportunities

The inaugural Fall 2026 Career Expo series brought hundreds of students, employers and alumni to campus for two days of networking and career exploration

Stevens Institute of Technology welcomed employers, alumni and students to campus this fall for its inaugural Career Expo, marking the return of in-person career fairs for the first time since 2022. Held on September 24 and October 15, the two events created opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to connect face-to-face with employers recruiting for full-time positions, internships and cooperative education opportunities.

The response was strong, with more than 1,200 students attending across the two events. More than 150 companies participated, bringing over 300 employer representatives to campus, one-third being Stevens alumni.

"We’ve had great experience working with students in the past,” said alumni Joshua Sentie ‘23, design engineer at Gladstone Design, Inc. “They’ve always been professional and produce great quality work. Time and time again, we keep inviting them back for full-time employment or recruiting new interns.”

The event provided students with opportunities to explore industries, learn about career paths and discuss potential opportunities while helping employers connect with Stevens students whose skills align with their workforce needs.

“Our inaugural Fall 2026 Career Expo delivered on what both students and employers told us they wanted most: meaningful, face-to-face human connection,” said Rebecca Andersen Polimeda, senior director of Stevens’ Career Center. “Seeing students engage with employers, explore exciting opportunities and build confidence in their career journeys was incredibly rewarding, and we hope they left knowing the Career Center is here to support them every step of the way. I'm incredibly proud of what our team accomplished, and the enthusiasm surrounding this year's Career Expo has us excited about what's next.”

Preparing Students for Strong Outcomes

The Career Expo is one example of how Stevens prepares students not only to graduate, but to thrive in their careers. In 2025, 93.4% of Stevens graduates achieved their desired outcome — employment or graduate school — within six months of graduation. Graduates entering the workforce earned an average starting salary of $86,900. Among employed graduates, 83% had completed at least one work experience before graduation, including an internship, co-op position or summer research experience.

The Stevens Career Center helps students connect classroom learning with professional opportunities through personalized career guidance and employer engagement. The center collaborates with more than 600 employers each year and coordinates hundreds of recruiting events, giving students opportunities to explore career paths, develop professional relationships and connect with potential employers as they prepare to achieve their post-graduation career goals.

The center offers numerous workshops and one-on-one coaching services to assist students with career development and preparation, including resume and cover letter writing, LinkedIn profile optimization, interview skills, job offer negotiation and much more.
