Donors rallied in support of the Stevens Fund to champion university priorities and provide flexible resources for greater impact. Gifts to the fund are directed to Stevens’ areas of greatest need and can extend support across campus from scholarships, student life and academic programs to dynamic research, faculty excellence and campus modernization.
In 2024-25, nearly 1,200 donors made gifts to the Stevens Fund. Many supporters made combined gifts, contributing to both the Stevens Fund and areas of campus most meaningful to them. Among them was Tony Massoud ’79.
Massoud, a longtime supporter of the Stevens Fund, established the Soltex Pinnacle Scholarship in 2021 and serves as a close mentor to his scholarship recipients. This year, Massoud made generous commitments both to endow his scholarship as well as provide unrestricted support. President Nariman Farvardin’s leadership in elevating Steven’s progress and growth inspired Massoud to invest in the Stevens Fund.
“Under President Farvardin’s watch, Stevens has made every dollar count,” Massoud said. “We’ve all witnessed the vision become reality. All the work that has been done under the current administration has clearly set Stevens apart. Just look at where we are now versus where we were 20 years ago – an amazing transformation.”
“I support the university priorities because they are the right priorities,” Massoud added. “They clearly target creating the best possible environment to educate and develop the young minds we are entrusted with. Undergraduate development has been made paramount, and I support that.”
In this period of rapid change and uncertainty in higher education, gifts to the Stevens Fund are vital in helping Stevens respond to emerging challenges, maximize opportunities and advance essential programs that empower our students’ success.
“As we navigate this pivotal moment in higher education, support from alumni and friends provides the flexibility and stability that allows Stevens to continue to thrive,” said President Farvardin. “While we’ve been fortunate to see continued growth in our research portfolio and academic enterprise, the uncertainty around international student enrollment and federal funding makes donor support more critical than ever in ensuring we can maintain our momentum and respond to new opportunities.”
“The generosity of our community makes a direct difference in students’ lives and in the future they will build for all of us,” President Farvardin added. “Together, we’re ensuring that Stevens remains among America’s premier institutions for preparing the leaders and innovators our world needs.”
