Stevens Earns 4.5 Stars in New “Money” Best Colleges 2026 Rankings

National recognition applauds Stevens’ exceptional value and alumni outcomes

Stevens Institute of Technology has been named to Money magazine’s 2026 Best Colleges in America, earning 4.5 out of 5 stars for the third consecutive year.

Money's annual rankings evaluate colleges and universities based on educational quality, affordability and graduate outcomes, helping prospective students and their families identify institutions that combine quality of education, affordability and excellent alumni outcomes.

The star-tiered list ranks 735 colleges, analyzed on 25 data points including graduation rates, cost of attendance, average student debt and alumni salaries. To be considered for inclusion in Money’s rankings, schools must have a minimum of 500 undergraduate students enrolled, sufficient data that allows for analysis, be financially secure and possess a graduation rate at or above the median for its institutional category to be considered for the ranking.

“Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey specializes in interdisciplinary study, boasting 11 core research areas, including business and finance, artificial intelligence, energy and sustainability, and quantum science and engineering. It's probably no surprise, then, that the institute attracts a high-achieving cadre of about 4,200 undergraduate students, many of them from outside of New Jersey,” according to Money’s assessment of Stevens. “Median earnings for graduates with a few years of experience top $112,000, which puts it in the top 10% of all the schools we analyzed for that figure.”
