Stevens Institute of Technology has been named to The Princeton Review’s 2027 list of “Best Value Colleges” — recognizing the university for the strong return on investment it provides students. Stevens also ranked No. 15 among private institutions nationwide for “Best Career Placement,” one of only two New Jersey institutions to rank among the nation’s top 20. The university received an impressive 90/99 ROI rating.
The Princeton Review selected 209 colleges for its 2027 “Best Value Colleges” list based on data from surveys of administrators at more than 650 colleges conducted during the 2025–2026 academic year. The evaluation covered three topics: academics, affordability and career preparation.
The latest recognition reflects the strength of the Stevens student experience and the outcomes its graduates achieve. Ninety-three percent of the Class of 2025 achieved their desired outcome — employment or graduate school — within six months of graduation. Among employed graduates, 83% had completed at least one work experience before graduation, including an internship, co-op or summer research experience.
These outcomes extend across academic programs. Finance graduates reported a 97% career outcomes rate and an average salary of $91,700, while quantitative finance graduates reported a 100% outcomes rate and an average salary of $89,800. Among engineering and science disciplines, computer science and cybersecurity graduates reported the highest average salary at $97,400, while graduates in physics, mathematics, and civil, environmental and naval engineering reported 100% outcomes rates. Humanities, arts and social sciences graduates reported an 85% outcomes rate, reflecting the breadth of career pathways available across the Stevens curriculum.
These results demonstrate the value of a Stevens education. For 156 years, Stevens has prepared graduates to solve complex problems, improve lives and shape the future.
The Princeton Review ranking adds to a year of strong national recognition for Stevens. U.S. News & World Report ranks Stevens No. 59 among national universities and No. 65 among “Best Value Colleges.” Georgetown University’s 40-year ROI analysis ranks Stevens No. 14 nationally, while TIME ranked Stevens No. 30 among 500 institutions in its inaugural “America’s Best Colleges of 2026–2027” ranking. Stevens also was named to The Princeton Review’s 2027 “Best Colleges” list and earned 4.5 out of 5 stars from Money Magazine.
