Hao Fu, Ph.D. '30

Hao Fu came to the U.S. from China with years of professional experience, but he wanted to understand the theory behind trading strategies. After a brief stop at the University of Arizona, he found exactly what he was looking for at the Stevens School of Business, where the financial engineering Ph.D. program blends finance and technology in ways few other programs do. Now part of the DeFi research team led by professors Zach Feinstein and Ionut Florescu, Hao is working to bring traditional financial instruments onto the blockchain.

Naman Singh, M.S. '27

Naman Singh arrived at the Stevens School of Business with a background in computer science, startup experience and a burning question. How does AI actually work? As a master's student in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, Naman found the answer in a program that blends technical knowledge with real-world application. Now in his second semester, Naman is president of the Stevens Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) Club, where he organizes alumni networking nights, industry panels and hackathons to connect students with the professionals and opportunities they need to launch their careers.

Suzanne Dombrowski, MBA '27

Suzanne Dombrowski enrolled in the Stevens School of Business Online MBA program looking to reskill and redefine her career. What she found was more than a degree; it was a spark. Inspired by what she learned during the program's Immersion Weekend, Suzanne organized a forum at Stevens to help small business owners navigate AI and emerging technology.

Sweenal Pereira, M.S. '26

Less than a year into Sweenal Pereira’s studies in the Stevens Financial Technology and Analytics master’s program, the student has already become the teacher. Under the guidance of Aron Lindberg, associate professor and the School of Business information systems and analytics area chair, she is creating instructional, “how-to” videos for corporate clients in the school’s Management of Artificial Intelligence certificate program.

Shriteja Salunkepatil, MBA '26

After four years working in various industries and co-founding her own company, Analytics MBA student Shriteja Salunkepatil enrolled in Stevens' dual degree program with SP Jain Institute. Through hands-on projects, research roles, and real-world data analysis, she developed both technical skills and confidence.

Stevens Students Apply AI to Solve Real-World Healthcare Problem

The winning application, developed by an interdisciplinary team of Stevens students for the Rutgers Health Hackathon's "Hospitalist Companionship" challenge on the “App Building on Spezi track” addressed a pressing issue for doctors caring for inpatients — how to navigate through numerous policies, workflows and procedures to answer seemingly simple questions like who to consult, how to order testing and where to find the latest treatment protocols.

For a local dental practice, maximizing their revenue and ensuring efficient patient relations was like pulling teeth, but after a group of Stevens students in the Practicum and Analytics course finished their work, it was nothing but smiles all around.

High Frequency Trading Competition Alum: Adam Moszczysnki M.S. '25

Transactions are not the only thing the Stevens School of Business annual High-Frequency Trading Competition produces in large volume. In recent years, it has inspired students to seek advanced degrees and work on research within the financial engineering and quantitative finance domains. Adam Moszczysnki completed his bachelor’s degree in quantitative finance last spring and is pursuing a master’s in financial technology and analytics.

Matthew Thomas graduated from Stevens in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He is currently working on a Ph.D. in financial engineering.

Diksha Kishore Shandil, MBA '24

Diksha Kishore Shandil always wanted a seat at the table. Her MBA from the Stevens School of Business gave her the tools that one day could put her at the head of it. After earning her Bachelor of Engineering in information technology from SJB Institute of Technology in her native India, Diksha began her professional career as a project engineer at Wipro, an IT services and consulting company. After seven years in the workforce, she began her transition from skilled technician to innovative strategist who speaks the languages of both technology and business.

Saboura Salari Rad, MS '23, won a Jerome Lohez 9/11 scholarship. She balances her financial engineering studies with yoga and silent meditation.

Jaynell Gomes, M.S. '22

Her employer might be “the house,” but it’s the Stevens campus that Jaynell Gomes considers home. Currently the quantitative analyst for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, the 2022 graduate of the Stevens School of Business financial engineering master’s program credits her Stevens experience for both her professional and personal growth.
