Required Training
The University’s acceptance of federal funds requires training for some specific programs as it regards research.
Most of the university’s required training is managed through the CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiatives) Program. The CITI Program is a widely used subscription service developed through a joint initiative between the University of Miami and NIH that focuses on the development and delivery of research-related training relevant to university sponsored research. The programs required at Stevens can be accessed through CITI at: The CITI Program
If you are new to CITI, select “Register" in the top right corner of the page. You’ll need to provide all required registration information which will include selection of your organization affiliation as Stevens Institute of Technology. Once all seven registration steps are complete, you will then be able to access whichever course(s) you need. There is a quiz associated with all required training.
A list of potential courses includes:
Human Subject Research
Laboratory Animal Research
Export Controls
Conflicts of Interest
Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)
