OneIT Excellence Awards Program
The Division of Information Technology has created an awards program to recognize and reward our OneIT full-time team member's hard work and dedication to the Stevens community. There are three individual award categories namely Leadership Excellence, Employee Excellence, Rising Star Excellence and one group category called Project Team Excellence.
All OneIT Excellence Awards are created with the OneIT goals and values in mind.
General Award Criteria
OneIT team members who receive an award one year will not be eligible to be nominated for the same award in a consecutive year.
OneIT Team member will not be eligible to receive two individual awards in the same nomination cycle.
The awards program is limited to only full-time OneIT team members.
Leadership Excellence Award
To recognize a OneIT team member who has demonstrated exemplary leadership among OneIT and across the Stevens community driving OneIT initiatives for technological change and IT modernization across the university. This team member promotes a work environment that is respectful, inclusive and supportive. They go “above and beyond” the conventional parameters of an established role for the sake of inspiring others.
Eligibility: Anyone in OneIT is eligible to be nominated for this award.
Nomination: Nomination for the award can only be done by Senior Leadership.
Recommendation: OneIT Advisory Committee will make recommendations to the Vice President for Information Technology & Chief Information Officer after evaluation of the initial nominations.
Final Selection: VP for IT & CIO does the final selection.
Employee Excellence Award
To recognize a OneIT team member who has consistently demonstrated a superior level of performance during the year. This OneIT member has displayed a high level of initiative, self-motivation and leadership when faced with challenging projects and initiatives.
Eligibility: Anyone in OneIT is eligible to be nominated for this award.
Nomination: Nomination for the award can be made by anyone in OneIT.
Recommendation: OneIT Advisory Committee will make recommendations to the VP for IT & CIO after evaluation of the initial nominations.
Final Selection: VP for IT & CIO does the final selection.
Rising Star Excellence Award
To recognize a OneIT team member who has exhibited ongoing exceptional growth and commitment in contributing to OneIT’s goals and values. This is someone who has taken on an increased level of leadership and responsibility.
Eligibility: Team members that have been part of OneIT for a year or more. Middle and Senior Leadership are excluded.
Nomination: Nomination for the award can be made by anyone in OneIT.
Recommendation: OneIT Advisory Committee will make recommendations to the VP for IT & CIO after evaluation of the initial nominations.
Final Selection: VP for IT & CIO does the final selection.
Project Team Excellence Award
To recognize OneIT project team members that have been highly successful in implementing a significant project in support of enhancing the university’s mission and priorities. The team delivered exceptional client experience. They demonstrated by example a willingness to encourage teamwork in the workplace.
Eligibility: List of projects provided by senior leadership is eligible to be nominated for this award.
Nomination: Nomination for the award can be made by anyone in OneIT.
Recommendation: OneIT Advisory Committee will make recommendations to the VP for IT & CIO after evaluation of the initial nominations.
Final Selection: VP for IT & CIO does the final selection.
