Emerging Technology Webinar Series: Newline Flex

In our effort to keep Stevens at the forefront of technology, The Division of Information Technology will be hosting a series of webinars throughout this calendar year to introduce the Stevens community to new and emerging technologies. The goal is to open a dialogue with faculty and staff as to which emerging technologies can potentially be utilized in the future for in-person, online, or hybrid instruction. These sessions will introduce not only hardware but software and other tools that may potentially benefit the Stevens community. We hope this series will help to provide a better way to deliver courses and content to students in person or online.

On Wednesday May 5th at 2pm, we invite you to join the first session in the series, which will introduce the Newline Flex. The Newline Flex is an all-in-one tabletop interactive video conferencing solution which allows you to collaborate and annotate directly from the 4K 27” display. This will provide a stationary solution for offices, labs, or small huddle spaces for hybrid instruction, meetings, or virtual office hours. This plug-and-play solution can also be used as an extended monitor with your desktop or laptop via HDMI or USB C connection, allowing for compatibility with either Mac or PC. There will also be no need for adapters and extra cables as the camera and microphone are fully integrated into the display, meaning one cable connects you to the display, camera, and microphone.
