Employee Parking

Employees are encouraged to commute to campus by foot, bicycle, public transit, or carpool, in lieu of driving alone.

Employee parking is restricted to valid permit holders during stated operating hours.

Employee Eligibility

  • Employees (full-time, part-time, and adjunct) who do not live in Hoboken.

  • Approved Residential Education employees who live on campus.

  • Employees (full-time, part-time, and adjunct) who live in Hoboken if they have disabilities or temporary mobility limitations (as evidenced by the possession of state-issued disability placards or wheelchair symbol license plates), and have received approval from Stevens Transportation & Parking, in consultation with Human Resources.

  • Employees who also take classes at Stevens are considered employees, not students, for parking permit eligibility purposes.

  • Full-time employees who are also adjunct professors are considered full-time employees, not adjunct professors, for parking permit eligibility purposes.  

Daily Parking Permits

All employees (full-time, part-time, and adjunct) who do not live in Hoboken are eligible to purchase daily parking permits.

Daily parking permits do not allow for overnight parking.

$10 per day (price is subject to change).

Annual Parking Permits

Eligible full-time employees may purchase annual permits, good from September through August. An application must be submitted each year.

The parking fee is based on salary. The fee is deducted, pre-tax, from an employee's first paycheck of each month. The parking fee is not prorated if canceled mid-month.

An annual parking permit does not allow for overnight parking.

Semester Parking Permits

Eligible part-time employees and adjunct faculty may apply for semester parking permits. For parking permit purposes, there are three semesters each school year: Fall, Spring, and Summer. A valid parking permit is required for each semester. An application must be submitted for each semester parking is needed.

The semester parking permit fee is deducted from an employee's pay, pre-tax, during the semester. Semester parking permits are not pro-rated.

Semester parking permits do not allow for overnight parking.
