You'll work at the top of this rapidly evolving field alongside notable faculty engaged in cutting-edge research projects funded by the National Science Foundation, Air Force Research Laboratory, Office of Naval Research and private organizations, while developing and implementing practical, real-world solutions to today's pressing issues.

Our department offers one of the first graduate programs in the U.S. to explore artificial intelligence (AI) applications for engineering. Additional focus areas include signal processing, medical diagnostic systems, information security and forensics, networked information systems and applications, and embedded, real-time intelligent microelectronic systems

Awareness of recent developments in your field is an important component of professional development. Therefore, attendance at seminars is required of all full-time graduate and doctoral students.

Stevens offers funding to select graduate students in the form of teaching assistantships, research assistantships and fellowships. Limited in number, these highly competitive opportunities are awarded to exceptional candidates based on merit.


Research and Teaching

Research in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stevens advances the underlying principles that define systems and components and demonstrates how to put these engineering principles into practice.
