STEM-Designated Graduate Programs: Your Gateway to Global Careers

A student working on her laptop with screen of visual data in background. At Stevens, you’ll find more than a degree—you’ll find a launchpad to worldwide opportunities. Our STEM-designated graduate programs open doors to valuable professional experience, from internships and co-ops to career pathways that extend across industries and borders.

International students thrive here with strong support from our International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) team, who help make Stevens a true home away from home. Alongside career development and networking opportunities, students with F-1 immigration status may qualify for federal work authorization benefits such as Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT), gaining real-world experience directly connected to their fields of study.

Important Note: Federal regulations governing OPT and CPT are subject to change. While Stevens is dedicated to assisting students with these programs, final eligibility and work authorization are determined by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in accordance with applicable federal laws. We encourage all prospective and current students to regularly consult ISSS and official USCIS resources for the most up-to-date information.

I remember the first day I attended Stevens. I didn’t know how a professor here would think or explain concepts, but my thesis advisor was very patient. I grew a lot because of him.
