Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM) B.S./D.O. (3+4)

An accelerated seven-year pathway allowing students to complete a B.S. degree and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree in one year less than the traditional route.

This pre-med program gives exceptionally qualified students the opportunity to earn the B.S. degree at Stevens and the D.O. degree at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine — a saving of one year in time and expense.

If you are admitted to the program, you'll take the same courses as the science majors in the first year, adding other program requirements during the following semesters at Stevens, and then Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine at the beginning of your fourth year.

This is a new program as of the 2027-2028 academic year.
