President Farvardin honored by CUPA-HR; Chris Snyder joins Stevens as director of technology transfer and new ventures.

Picture of Nariman FavardinStevens President Nariman Farvardin received the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources’ (CUPA-HR) 2023 Chief Executive HR Champion Award in August. The award honors a president or chancellor of a higher education institution who has demonstrated significant support for their institution’s human resources function. CUPA-HR recognized Farvardin’s investment in professional development initiatives; his support and appreciation of a diverse and flexible workforce; and his accessible and approachable leadership as key drivers of Stevens’ institutional transformation during his tenure as president. 


Portrait of Chris Snyder Chris Snyder joined Stevens’ Office of Research and Innovation as director of technology transfer and new ventures. He will lead the university’s technology transfer and commercialization efforts, helping to bring to market the ideas, technologies and solutions generated by Stevens faculty and students. Snyder will direct the continuing development of the university’s intellectual property portfolio and play a significant role in implementing the innovation and entrepreneurship components of the university’s 10-year strategic plan.
