Research Opportunities and Open Positions

Interested in getting involved in quantum research? The Center for Quantum Science and Engineering welcomes undergraduate and graduate students to explore projects across quantum science and engineering. Opportunities span theory and experiment, including undergraduate research, senior projects and graduate research. We also periodically host visiting and exchange students from universities abroad for bachelor’s and master’s research or thesis projects.

Graduate research assistantships are frequently available, with applications considered on a rolling basis by individual research groups. Postdoctoral opportunities also arise periodically.

We encourage interested students and researchers to contact faculty members directly to discuss their interests and potential opportunities, even when no specific opening is advertised. You can also contact the center director for guidance on finding a research group that matches your interests.

CQSE aims to develop a modern curriculum and educational tools to nurture qualified workforce and technology leaders for the quantum industry, and to build strong connections between quantum research and industrial value-creation applications.
