The DeBaun Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Stevens offers a wealth of opportunities for students to participate in the performing arts: choral and vocal performances, instrumental ensembles and bands, theatrical productions, spoken word events, dance and technical theater.
After a year away from the stage, students return to campus with caution in mind as they prepare for a semester of unique challenges. For the fall semester, students in the performing arts will be taking all precautions, including: 1) rehearsing with masks when at all possible; 2) extra physical space between participants added; 3) smaller performance groups, and 4) air filters have been added to help air flow in our rehearsal/performance spaces. Stevens Dramatic Society will perform live on stage with a masked audience, and the Stevens Choir will peform similarly but in two smaller groups from stage, allowing for some social distancing. The other ensembles and recitals will be recorded with no audience and available for downloading from home. The spring semester will bring back more traditional peformances from all of the groups, with some restrictions placed on the audience while in attendance.
