Meet the Teams
AIRR (Autonomic Intervention Respiratory Response)
Team members: Christopher Keynton, Rebecca Hawks, Emily Weiner, Jordan Fisse, Juliana Eoga, Niki Hartman
Concept: The AIRR is an autonomous airway management system that allows trained individuals during respiratory emergencies to maintain an airway and provide ventilation support to people who are not breathing, or not breathing adequately on their own.
CuNEXT
Team members: Grace Cummins, Olivia Schubiger, Sophia Bica, Stefanie Selitto, Victoria Campos
Concept: CuNEXT aims to revolutionize the copper intrauterine device (IUD) by creating an effective non-hormonal option that implements a steady and safe corrosion rate of copper ions to significantly reduce inflammation and pain, offering women greater control over their reproductive health.
DuoVitalis
Team Members: Amber Muzones, Lulu Hunter, Ryan Thorton, Julia Cowen, Malina Andronescu
Concept: DuoVitalis is a detachable, digital stethoscope attachment device seeking to improve misdiagnoses at a reduced cost, all while emphasizing universal fit, sound amplification, and active noise cancellation.
Duoxalis
Team Members: Alina Zaman, Samantha Villanueva, Gabrielle Moroney, David Keyser, Valerie Naguib
Concept: Duoxalis is an at-home, accurate, and easy-to-use screening tool for two of the most common vaginal infections, integrated in a comfortable, non-invasive panty liner format that utilizes biochemical assay technology for trustworthy results, closing the gap in care surrounding women's reproductive health.
HOPE Incubator
Team Members: Andrea Arpastean, Birva Pinto, Rimmo Loyi Lego, Henita Sharon Lawrence, Maria Giovanetti
Concept: HOPE Incubator’s mission is to deliver an affordable, electricity-resilient neonatal incubator that ensures safe, continuous thermal care for premature infants in resource-limited healthcare settings, using a phase change material (PCM) based thermal regulation system.
MIB
Team Members: Ali Yousry, Gabriel Rodriguez, Hamzah Shibli, Itai Geller, Jayden Mamola
Concept: The Marine Insertion Brace (MIB) is a sensor-driven, wearable neck-protection brace designed to dynamically stabilize a marine operator’s head and cervical spine, mitigating neck loads and reducing injury risk during high-speed operations and impact events.
PureMed
Team Members: Ashley Allen, Emily Wohlleber, Nate Skutnik, Thomas Gigliotti, Tomislav Curko
Concept: Develop the next generation of GLP-1 therapy auto-injectors that are reusable and tunable, which optimizes patient comfortability and usability.
ReSpec
Team Members: Adam Fiorito, Henry Furey, Kana Abe, Kristina Szumski, Samuel Schradin, Tarunnanda Vijaykumar
Concept: ReSpec modernizes the 19th‑century vaginal speculum with a radially-expanding inflatable speculum designed with patient comfort at the forefront, reducing pain and anxiety of cervical exams caused by traditional metal and plastic vaginal devices.
Rocket Lungs
Team Members: Isabella Mangano, Lauren Alley, Maya Lapinski, Sophia Gonzalez, Kailyn Savage
Concept: Rocket Lungs is a resistance training device with a mission to increase respiratory muscle strength and endurance for pediatric patients with neuromuscular disorders, overall improving day-to-day symptoms and reducing respiratory distress.
SensiTear
Team Members: Ujjwal Rameshwaram, Kaitlyn Tsai, Ruhi Ajinkya, Sanaiya Villanueva, Sophia Donskoy
Concept: SensiTear is a non-invasive pre-screening device for detecting Alzheimer's disease years before the onset of life-altering symptoms, empowering individuals to take preventative measures and mitigate rapid disease progression.
Synovia
Team Members: Jonathan Layme, Phillip Bone, Nicholas Reznick, Om Patel, Pas Dodangoda
Concept: Synovia aims to improve knee rehabilitation by automating knee mobilizations to improve accessibility, affordability, and consistency with physical therapy.
TeleHub
Team Members: Aidan Lee, Briley Heider, Devan Moore, Eric Romero, Sarah Wnorowski
Concept: TeleHub is an at-home cardiac vitals-measuring device that integrates ECG, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, and heart rate into a single system that transmits clinically reliable data to healthcare providers, replacing in-person cardiac rehabilitation appointments.
UTID
Team Members: Alexander Adair, Alexis Najmy, Francesca Regan, Miles Cabreza
Concept: UTID is developing an accessible redesign of urinary tract infection diagnostic tools using micro fluidics leading into 4 lateral flow assays accounting for 95% of urinary tract infection cases yielding results in under 30 minutes.
