Dr. Jianmin Qu, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, is an accomplished academic administrator and an internationally acclaimed scholar in the fields of theoretical and applied mechanics. During his 30-year career in higher education, he has held leadership, administrative and academic positions at major research universities, led transformative changes in education, research and entrepreneurship, and made significant contributions to the field of nondestructive evaluation.

Joseph Cassidy was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, Vice President for Finance and Treasurer at Stevens effective January 2026. He has forty years of progressive financial responsibility within corporate and university non-profit organizations. Previously, Mr. Cassidy had served as Associate Vice President of Finance at Stevens from 2016 through 2025. His responsibilities included overseeing the Controller’s Group, Procurement, Sponsored Accounting & Cost Analysis, Financial Information Systems, Student Accounts, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Tax Compliance, and Financial Accounting & Reporting.

Beth McGrath, Vice President for University Advancement and Chief of Staff, is a Stevens veteran with more than 35 years of leadership experience in university administration and within the academic enterprise. As Vice President for University Advancement, Beth leads the university’s communications and marketing efforts; represents Stevens’ interests with local, state, and federal governments and corporations; and serves as the liaison with community members and organizations. She is also responsible for Stevens’ ambitious goals including leading a multiyear capital campaign; increasing alumni engagement; and continuing to build world-class development and alumni engagement programs. As Chief of Staff to the President, Beth manages operations and special initiatives for the Office of the President and serves as an advisor to the President.

Susan Metz, Executive Director of University Culture and Engagement, led the Lore-El Center for Women in Engineering and Science and was a co-founder of the nationally-recognized Women in Engineering Proactive Network (WEPAN). Through board participation, publications and grant administration, she has helped to advance the national STEM diversity policy agenda.
