Tej Patel

Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer

Tej Patel joined Stevens in August 2020 as Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. A forward-looking leader with more than 15 years of higher education and corporate information technology experience, he is responsible for formulating a unifying IT vision and strategy aligned with Stevens' overarching mission.

Michael Parente

Assistant Vice President for Information Technology

Mike Parente serves as Assistant Vice President for Information Technology. Mike has been at Stevens for over 12 years where he has held several other positions prior to his current role. He also spent time in the financial sector at Citigroup and has over 20 years of experience in the information technology field. Mike provides oversight and leadership for the Enterprise Platform and Data Services unit, which is responsible for enterprise applications such as Workday, web services, integrations, data analytics, and business intelligence, as well as the overall strategic planning for the division.

Jeremy Livingston

Chief Information Security Officer

Jeremy is the Chief Information Security Officer. Prior to joining Stevens, he has worked in a wide range of organizations such as NJEdge, Fortium Partners, the Pew Charitable Trusts, DXC Technology, Federal Housing Finance Agency, ASRC Federal, Cloudburst Security, NucoreVision Inc., Executive Office of the President in the White House, and the US Navy. He also serves on the InCommon Steering Committee, Eduroam Advisory Board, and as an Adjunct Professor for American Public University.

Maryam Mirza

Senior Director IT, Client Experiences and Strategic Initiatives

Maryam Mirza joined Stevens in November 2021 as the Senior Director of IT, Client Experience and Strategic Initiatives. Maryam brings with her over 16 years of experience in Higher Education and Non-profit IT. Prior to coming to Stevens Maryam held many leadership positions at SUNY Nassau including Associate VP of IT, IT Director of Enterprise Systems and IT Manager of Web Applications. At Stevens she is leading the charge for Project/Product Management, Communication Strategy and IT Governance in the newly created unit. Maryam holds a BS in Computer Science from NUST and is a candidate for MBA in Technology Management at SUNY Poly.

Michael Scalero

Senior Director of Client Support and Learning Technology Services

Mike Scalero serves as the Senior Director of Client Support and Learning Technology Services. Mike has been at Stevens for 17 years and has held multiple positions within the Division, working on and leading a variety of enterprise projects. He provides leadership for his team in all aspects of instructional technology, design, multimedia, and client support.

Hammad Ali

Senior Director of Infrastructure Services

Hammad Ali is a Senior Director of Infrastructure Services. He has over 19 years of information technology experience and a long history of managing IT engineering organizations and projects across the entire IT infrastructure landscape. Prior to joining Stevens in May 2020, he served as a VP/ IT Infrastructure Manager at Rockefeller Capital Management, where he led groups responsible for numerous distributed infrastructure, IT security, data center migration, cloud engineering, and user support services. Hammad holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NJIT.
