Official Transcripts
Official transcripts from all institutions where you received credit are required.
Unofficial copies of transcripts are acceptable for the initial application review process. If you are admitted to a program, however, at that time Stevens will require your official transcripts to be submitted in a sealed envelope.
If transcripts (mark sheet, diploma, degree certificate or academic record) are not in English, you must upload both the official transcript in the original language and its word-for-word English translation received from a Certified English Translator. Stevens Institute of Technology has no preferred translating service, but you can locate recognized translators through the US Embassy in your area or through your country’s Consulate if you are already in the United States.
After admission, you must submit both the official sealed transcript and the sealed word-for-word translation to the Stevens Institute of Technology Graduate Admissions office upon arrival to the university. The outside of the envelope must bear the university seal or the translator’s endorsement
Professional Writing Sample
Please upload a full sample thesis, research paper, or publication. Your research paper should have your name, the research's outcome, and references. Friendly reminder that the research paper is used to showcase your research abilities and also give the academic unit a glimpse of your potential graduate writing capabilities.

All applicants are required to submit a Statement of Purpose that details why they have chosen to apply to this particular program at Stevens.
The Statement of Purpose should be 500-1,000 words, typed in 12-point Times New Roman font.
Resume/CV
Applicants to all Ph.D. programs are required to submit a resume or CV.
Proof of English Language Proficiency
Depending on your native language and academic background, you may be required to provide proof of English language proficiency by submitting the results of an English language proficiency exam, such as TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo.*
