Pamela Flores, M.A., LPC, NCC
Pamela Flores is a Staff Psychotherapist at Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Pamela is a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Kean University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University. Pamela’s previous work includes helping individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, identity exploration, and interpersonal relationship challenges in a variety of settings, such as in-home, community mental health clinics, substance abuse treatment centers, virtual college counseling, and private practice. Pamela uses a psychodynamic and systems-based lens to help students increase their sense of self, achieve academic and professional goals, and foster healthier relationships with friends and family. Pamela’s therapeutic approach can be best described as warm, inquisitive, and gently challenging. Pamela is a second generation eldest daughter of immigrants from the Philippines, and she has found her lived personal and professional experiences add value to her students’ therapeutic experience. In her free time, Pamela nourishes her mind and body through music and concerts, pilates, yoga, and spending time with her niece.
