Norma Ortega, Ph.D.

Dr. Norma Ortega was born in Brooklyn, NY. As an undergraduate student, she doubled majored in Psychology and Women Studies and minored in Spanish at Rutgers University. Dr. Ortega received her Ph. D. in Counseling Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University. She has worked as a psychologist and administrator in a variety of outpatient mental health centers and universities. Before working at Stevens Institute of Technology, she served as the Assistant Director at Marymount Manhattan College’s Counseling and Wellness Center. She worked as a staff psychologist at Fordham University, Columbia University Medical School and Rutgers University. She is a licensed psychologist in NJ and NY. Dr. Ortega is fluent in English and Spanish.
