Contact the ELC Department

Culture and Conversation Hour is a weekly event hosted by the English Language Communication (ELC) department. This event allows students, scholars, and professors from various parts of the world to connect and learn about other cultures, speak other languages and share perspectives with other members of the Stevens community on a variety of topics. This is a fun and relaxed environment creates the opportunity to make new friends and improve English language skills in the process. Culture & Conversation Hour meets weekly on Wednesdays, 3-4 PM @ the Library, Room 300. For more details contact Samaneh Jafari.

One to World

One to World is a non-profit organization that offers activities and programs for international students in the Metro NYC area to engage in cross-cultural exchange and learn about American culture. Because Stevens is a One to World member, you can participate in the exciting programs they offer each semester—including homestays with American families, dances, dinners, and visits to famous NYC sites. Undergraduate Students: Office of Student Life

Stevens’ students are encouraged to get involved on campus through student organizations and campus events. Becoming involved is a great way to enhance your collegiate experience and acquire important skills, such as team building, leadership, communication, and time management. Safe Zone

The Stevens Safe Zone is an ally program aimed at creating a more open campus environment, especially for students on campus who might identify as members of the LGBTQ and ally community, as well as for students who may be questioning.
