ISSS: Workday Holds, Processes, and Troubleshooting
Please note that this page will provide Workday information only as it pertains to ISSS. If you have questions regarding your academic program, enrolling in courses, holds such as Health Immunizations, Conditional Admittance, or past Due Balances, or trouble logging in, you must contact the appropriate offices.
ISSS Workday Holds
Before the semester start date, all F-1 students beginning a new program at Stevens will have a "SEVIS Activation Hold" placed on their Workday Records.
The SEVIS Activation Workday Hold does not have any impact on your program and is placed on your records as a reminder of the requirement. You may begin your program as planned while the SEVIS Activation Hold is on your account. It will not impact your ability to choose or change classes or to attend your orientation or courses once the semester begins.
Your SEVIS Activation Workday Hold will be removed from your Workday Records within 3-4 days of your online SEVIS Activation Form submission.
If you have the "RCL Approved" Hold on your account, it means that you applied for and were approved for a Reduced Course Load for the current semester. Once RCLs are submitted and approved, students will no longer have access to change their schedule.
If students with previously approved RCLs need to update their schedule, such as changing a web course to an on campus course, or changing one on campus course to another on campus course of equal credit value, the student should email [email protected] with their CWID, and request to change a course. If changing your course, please remember that it is the student's responsibility to ensure that the course change will not put them out of F-1 Status and will still allow them to graduate on time. ISSS will not review your course change prior to the change.
Students who need to add the Practicum Course to their schedules after being approved for an RCL may indicate this on the ISSS CPT Request Form.
Students who request to have their hold overridden in order to make a change in their schedule and drop below the approved RCL credit amount, or who change an in person course to a web course and are no longer maintaining their on-campus presence requirement will be in violation of F-1 Status.
