Answering our invitation to invest in a better future, the university’s donors stepped up generously during the 2024-25 academic year, supporting scholarships for outstanding students, research that confronts pressing challenges and campus facilities for future generations. 

The Facts

$54.8 million: Total gifts to Stevens in 2024–25 

4,276: Total donors, an increase showing broadening support from friends, parents, students, faculty and staff, as well as alumni support, and defying a national trend that shows a 4.5% decrease in donors among non-profits * 

$20.9 million: Donations for student scholarships 

948: Parent and student donors  

$2.6 million: Donations supporting faculty chairs and student fellowships

  • Stevens is a “Top Performer” in the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education’s 2025 Sustainable Campus Index (SCI), recognized in the Buildings & Grounds area for its sustainable building design and operations, efficient water use and ecological grounds management. Stevens ranked in the top 10 of 373 schools. The SCI celebrates universities leading the way in sustainability. 

  • Stevens has been named to The Princeton Review’s 2025 list of Best Value Colleges and has maintained its ranking as 12th in the nation for Best Career Placement. 

  • Stevens is one of 75 schools featured in Dream School: Finding the College That’s Right for You, by higher education expert Jeff Selingo. Stevens was chosen for its strong outcomes, accessible admissions and engaging student experiences. 

  • Stevens has been ranked No. 9 in the nation for return on investment by U.S. News & World Report, based on the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce report. The ROI for a Stevens degree is $3.603 million at 40 years, a value comparable to that of other prestigious universities such as Stanford University (No. 6), Carnegie Mellon University (No. 7) and Princeton University (No. 3). 

  • Stevens’ DASSHing Ducks won a first-place award and $10,000 prize at the Department of Homeland Security Designing Actionable Solutions for a Secure Homeland student design challenge. Students developed LiDAR LASSO, an AI-powered system to neutralize autonomous vehicle threats.
