Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service is a federal holiday that is also designated by Congress as a national day of service – a “day on, not a day off.” Stevens community members hear from various speakers discussing the importance of service, Dr. King's legacy, followed by service projects within Hoboken.

The 2nd Annual MLK Day of Service at Stevens will take place on January 17th, 2023. All students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to RSVP by January 10. This day-long event will include breakfast with an alumni speaker and student performances, an afternoon of volunteering in Hoboken, and a community celebration with a keynote speaker. This event is co-sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Office of the President, Division of Student Affairs, and Development and Alumni Engagement Office.
