The theme is leveraging AI for innovation in business: as AI takes on more of the technical implementation, the differentiator shifts to what you build and why. The day rewards strong business ideas, creative design and compelling use cases — AI-enabled solutions that create real value for organizations and society. No technical background required. Join as an individual or assemble a team.

  • Open to all majors - Undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines. Student-run, led by the School of Business.

  • A real business challenge - The day's challenge comes from industry — partner companies bring the problem and judge the results.

  • Build and make the case - Teams deliver a working software artifact or system proposal — plus the business case behind it.

Agenda

9-9:30 a.m. Welcome and Opening Remarks: Overview of the hackathon, introduction of the challenge, and explanation of the judging criteria.

9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Development Phase: Teams design and build their AI-enabled solutions.

3 - 4:30 p.m. Final Presentations: Five-minute pitch, a live demo (or walkthrough, for system proposals) and a two- to three-minute Q&A with the judges.

4:30 - 5 p.m. Judging and Awards: Company judges deliberate and winning teams are announced.
