The project seeks to increase the number of academically talented students with demonstrated financial need who earn degrees in STEM fields

Since 1968, the Stevens Technical Enrichment Program (STEP) has been connecting students to success by offering a comfortable, welcoming and supportive environment for undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds.

As part of its commitment to building a pipeline of future engineers, The A. James Clark Scholars Program has partnered with Stevens to provide financial support and enhanced learning opportunities to exceptional undergraduate students who are underrepresented in the engineering field.

Stevens is partnering with high schools in underresourced communities to introduce talented students with significant financial need, particularly underrepresented minority students, to college life, and inspire them to pursue their STEM education.

The Art Harper Saturday Academy is a multi-year program that connects Stevens to high school students from under-resourced communities who are interested in pursuing college majors and careers in STEM related fields.

As part of the IChange Network, Stevens has a unique opportunity to engage and partner with other STEM programs to improve faculty recruitment, hiring and retention.

Initiatives supported by ADVANCE Stevens are focused on improving the representation of women in the academic sciences.

Stevens led the development of ENGAGE to encourage universities in the US to implement research-based strategies to retain undergraduate engineering students, particularly those from underrepresented groups.
