Yellow Ribbon Program

Stevens is pleased to be participating in the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program – a scholarship designed to help students supplement their Post-9/11 GI Bill® tuition benefits, and is available only while eligible to receive VA education benefits.

A provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, the Yellow Ribbon Program expands education benefits for military veterans. Qualifying veterans are eligible to receive up to 100 percent funding of an undergraduate college education. The GI Bill® pays the highest in-state undergraduate tuition. However, additional funds may be available if you plan on attending a private institution, graduate school, or if you choose to attend an institution as a non-resident. The Yellow Ribbon Program allows institutions of higher learning (degree granting institutions) in the United States to voluntarily enter into an agreement with Veterans Affairs (VA) to fund tuition expenses that exceed the highest public in-state undergraduate tuition rate. Institutions choose the amount of tuition and fees that they will contribute, and the VA will match that amount. The Department of Veteran Affairs will then issue a payment directly to your institution. Stevens Institute of Technology offers Yellow Ribbon funding during the fall and spring semesters to eligible students. Please contact the School Certifying Officials at [email protected] with any questions you have.
