Office of International Programs

The Office of International Programs provides overall strategic direction and visibility for the internationalization efforts of Stevens Institute of Technology. These initiatives include study abroad, international partnerships and exchanges, international sponsored student outreach, co-curricular programming and research.

The Office of International Programs strives to create opportunities for globally enriched learning and scholarship for all members of the Stevens community and internationalize the Stevens campus while enhancing the overall positive experience of international students and visitors.

Global Ambassadors Program

The Global Ambassadors Program was developed for Stevens study abroad returnees who enjoyed all aspects of their international experiences and want to volunteer to help other Stevens students discover the many study abroad opportunities available to them.

Meet the Staff

SusiSusi Rachouh, Director of International Programs, advises all study abroad students, and has worked closely with sponsored international students, such as the graduate cohort of the Brazil Scientific Mobility Program. Susi facilitates all international exchanges and partnerships, and organizes internationally focused co-curricular programming on campus, such as International Education Month, in collaboration with other departments. Susi studied abroad in Paris while an undergraduate, earning a Diplome Superiere de Francais des Affaires, and completed her BA in French at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Susi earned her MA in Intercultural Management from the School for International Training. Susi has traveled extensively in Europe, as well as numerous countries in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

Isabel Sutedjo Headshot

Isabel Sutedjo, Undergraduate Student Assistant at the Office of International Programs, oversees all technological-related changes. She is currently studying Computer Science, graduating in 2025. Isabel updates the Stevens Office of International Programs website pages and the Study Abroad Portal. Isabel helps with the weekly Study Abroad info sessions. Isabel studied abroad in South Korea through the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) Program during High School. Isabel has also previously lived in Germany for 4 years and traveled extensively throughout Europe during this time.

Jose Pena Headshot

Jose Pena, a Honduran-born and raised Mechanical Engineer 4/4 international student oversees all the internal procedures and paperwork that the office on international programs has to work on when sending students to another country. He helps the office by setting up online documents, processing transcripts, and organizing events that are needed in the OIP. He also is in charge of the international student's involvement with the Stevens community and has helped in the transition that exchange students undergo when coming to the Stevens Institute of Technology campus from their home universities. He reaches out to students coming from all over Europe, Asia, and all over the world, not only providing them with great assistance when exchange students have a doubt about how Stevens works, but also giving them a friendly hand when having a current student help them with their transition. Jose has been in our office for more than one year and we will be excited to see how he develops in his future career path after his graduation in May 2023!

Sabrina Elgazzar Headshot

Sabrina Elgazzar, Undergraduate Student Assistant at the Office of International Programs, promotes the numerous scholarships and programs that Stevens offers to the Undergraduate Student body. She is currently a part of the co-op program, studying Electrical Engineering and graduating in 2027. Along with promotional duties, Sabrina aids with the weekly study abroad info sessions and with whatever the office needs. She is a first-generation college student that is half Puerto Rican and half Egyptian. She has intense experience traveling to and from Egypt, as well as to and from Guernsey.

Sydney Chaca Headshot

Sydney Chaca, Undergraduate Student Assistant at the Office of International Programs. She is currently studying Business and Technology, graduating in 2025. Sydney helps promote the study abroad scholarships and assists with creating flyers and anything else with social media. She also gathers testimonials/pictures from past study-abroad adventures!
