A Stevens education is grounded in creation, discovery and leading-edge research that benefits society. Our students, guided by faculty, develop and apply exciting new findings and knowledge in the university's state-of-the-art lab facilities and research centers. Some students even publish in professional journals, file patents and launch their own startups.

Our Pinnacle Scholars Program, A. James Clark Scholars Program and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summer Scholars Research Program also offer summer research opportunities for undergraduates.

Through interdisciplinary scholarship and interdepartmental collaboration, we are relentless in our pursuit of new and creative ideas and their application to solve problems that drive progress both at the university and around the world.

A Stevens education is innovation in action. Entrepreneurship permeates all our undergraduate and graduate programs and curricula. The signature LaunchPad and iSTEM programs are specialized entrepreneurial programs that enable students to develop new ideas and build innovative new businesses through exclusive access to mentors, labs and networks. The annual Innovation Expo also showcases student projects and ingenuity, culminating in the Ansary Entrepreneurship Competition, where teams pitch projects, products and services for cash prizes.

Stevens’ signature core curriculum, SUCCESS (Stevens Undergraduate Core Curriculum: Essential Skills for Success), for students entering in Fall 2024 and beyond, equips every undergraduate regardless of major with the skills, mindset and adaptability to thrive in the dynamic 21st-century digital economy. SUCCESS encompasses a transformative first-year experience; required courses in writing, communication, leadership, ethics, entrepreneurship and computing; and immersive technology experiences in AI and machine learning, data science and analytics, biotechnology, sustainability and quantum technology. As with all Stevens curricula, SUCCESS is dynamic. Technologies, societal challenges, businesses and industries change; so will SUCCESS. It will evolve to ensure that it — and those who experience it — remain relevant and impactful.

A Stevens education is hands-on and global. Our unique, technology-infused curriculum delivers a blend of classroom instruction, applied learning experiences and off-campus experiences in the real world, including vast opportunities for internships and cooperative education with industries and governments across the globe.
