The dual MSFE-MBA degree is designed for students that aspire to a career in the financial services sector or a position of leadership in the chief financial office of any firm. A technical Master of Science degree coupled with an MBA provides a great mixture of education and creates a well-rounded employee. This dual degree can equip Master’s in Financial Engineering students with strong business management skills and MBA students with specialized knowledge of areas in Financial Engineering beyond the general courses in their program’s curriculum, accelerating their growth into positions of leadership and opening a more diverse selection of career choices. Students will earn two separate master's degree in this dual degree program.

Elective Courses

Students are required to take 4 courses (12 credits) of Financial Engineering electives. Electives must be approved by an advisor. These 12 credits may be any courses the advisor approves. In particular, students may choose to complete the elective courses from one of the following graduate certificate programs. This would allow students to graduate with a master’s degree and a graduate certificate at the same time.
