How to Pick Up Mail and Packages

Notification of Received Mail and Packages

A student who has received a mail or package will by notified of the delivery by Mail Services via an automated email or text message.

Picking Up Mail

Students may pick up letter mail by going to the Stevens Post Office window.

Most packages for students will be placed in smart lockers located outside the Stevens Post Office. Larger packages will remain at the Receiving area in the basement of the Howe Center. Directions for how to access the lockers are below.

Smart Lockers for Packages

When a package is deposited into a locker by Mail Services, the student will receive an email and/or text message notification with a 5-digit pin code or QR code to access the locker. The package will remain in that locker for two days. A package not picked up after two weeks will be returned to the sender. Perishable items will be discarded after one week. Students have 24/7 access to the lockers.

A smarter and quicker way of picking up packages is with the Smiota app. The Smiota app may be installed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Follow the directions to register for an account using the student's email address. When a student has a package waiting for them in a locker they can open the app when in front of the locker. A green icon will appear in the app. Tap on the icon to open the locker.
