Economics Minor

The Economics minor at Stevens equips students with analytical thinking skills and global economic perspective that enhance virtually any career path.

This program introduces fundamental economic principles while emphasizing the technological tools and data analysis methods that drive modern economic decision-making. Students explore how markets function, policy impacts business environments and global interconnections shape economic outcomes. The minor's focus on analytical problem-solving and quantitative methods provides valuable skills for students in in any discipline who want to better understand the economic forces influencing their industries. By combining traditional economic theory with contemporary analytical approaches, the economics minor prepares students to think strategically about complex problems and contribute meaningfully to data-driven decision-making in their chosen fields. 

Business Students

Required:

  • ECON 243 - Macroeconomics

  • ECON 244 - Microeconomics

  • ECON 343 - Intermediate Macroeconomics

  • ECON 344 - Intermediate Microeconomics

Quantitative Finance Students
