Luther: Never Too Much
Enjoy a special screening of "Luther: Never Too Much," a new documentary by award-winning director Dawn Porter. Luther Vandross was a Grammy-winning vocal powerhouse, celebrated for his timeless hits and unmatched influence on R&B and soul music. The night will also include a panel featuring Vandross’s closest friends and collaborators, including Carlos Alomar, HASS's distinguished artist-in-residence.
Art by Humans and Machines
Join us for this Campus Point Connection, where Larry O’Gorman of Nokia Bell Labs will consider how art and technology fuse to create interactive experiences. O’Gorman will trace the evolution of tech-enhanced artworks by examining the histories of video, audio, biometrics and machine learning. Expect to hear about Bell Labs' earliest collaborations with visionaries like Robert Rauschenberg and Merce Cunningham to today’s cutting-edge creations.
How to Raise a Citizen [Past Event]
Learn practical ways to engage your kids in politics. This interactive panel will feature Lindsey Cormack, an associate professor of political science at Stevens and author of "How to Raise a Citizen (And why it's up to you to do it);" Jennifer Giattino, Hoboken city council president; Emily Jabbour, Hoboken city council member; and Jennifer McBryan, associate dean of undergraduate studies and teaching associate professor.
