The Center for Quantum Science and Engineering (CQSE) at Stevens pursues innovative quantum engineering research, development and education, including bringing photonic technologies into reality, networking, remote sensing, machine learning, big data processing and quantum computing.

About CSQE

The Center for Quantum Science and Engineering takes a cross-discplinary approach to developing quantum computers that satisfy practical criteria. At Stevens, the CQSE conducts research in reduced-dimensional materials, nanophotonics, cybersecurity, quantum control, ultrafast optics and a variety of other applications.

Led by Dr. Yuping Huang, assistant professor of physics and director of the CQSE, more than 40 faculty, postdoctoral and student researchers from ten research groups in seven interdisciplinary units at Stevens contribute to significant developments in quantum computing, which include contributions from industrial and academic partners.
