Where Opportunity Meets Ambition

Located just minutes from New York City in Hoboken, New Jersey, the Stevens School of Business sits at the intersection of innovation, industry and culture. Beyond the gorgeous views of the city’s skyline, our proximity to the financial capital of the world transforms your entire educational experience.

The Career Advantage

Stevens' location offers unparalleled access to the companies shaping the future of business. Our students gain experience in finance, technology and analytics firsthand through internships and networking opportunities that most students can only dream about.

"The close proximity to NYC gives us incredible exposure," says Sweenal Pereira, a Financial Technology and Analytics graduate student. "It's finance, innovation and tech. Everything is happening all at once."

This exposure translates into results. Stevens students secure highly sought after internships during their time here, with many landing positions at top firms including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Société Générale and Prudential. Our tech-focused curriculum combined with direct access to Wall Street creates a powerful formula for career success.

"Stevens has a strong reputation within the financial district, which made it easier to connect with professionals at firms like Goldman Sachs," said Maryan Shepetyuk '24, who now works as an equity execution analyst at the firm. "Some of my professors even introduced me to individuals at the firm, including senior-level professionals."

Beyond The Classroom

The Metropolitan New York area is a living laboratory for cultural exploration and personal growth. From Broadway shows to world-class museums, fashion to fine dining, students have access to experiences that enrich their education and broaden their perspectives.

"I'm hooked on Broadway," said MBA graduate Manikandan "Mani" Saravanakumar, who took advantage of subsidized tickets through Graduate Student Life programming. "Stevens' proximity to New York has allowed me to learn outside the classroom."

The cultural diversity of the area mirrors the global nature of today's business world, preparing students to work effectively across cultures and contexts.

The Hoboken Advantage

While New York City provides the professional opportunities, Hoboken offers the perfect home base. Nicknamed the "Mile Square City," Hoboken combines urban energy with a welcoming community feel. It's the most walkable city in New Jersey, with locally-owned restaurants, vibrant arts venues, and green spaces throughout.

"Washington Street is where all the action happens," Mani explains. "There is Italian food, Mexican, Indian, Chinese and just about everything in between."

The Stevens campus is a rarity in the New York city area, offering state-of-the-art facilities, recreation spaces and residence halls. Students enjoy a safe, supportive environment while maintaining easy access to Manhattan via a 10-minute train ride.

A Community That Connects

At Stevens, location also means connection. Our faculty includes former industry professionals who maintain active networks in the financial district. Our Corporate Outreach & Professional Advancement (COPA) office provides dedicated support for resume building, interview preparation and career development, and our proximity to industry leaders means guest speakers, company visits and networking events are regular parts of campus life.

"Professor (Emmanuel) Hatzakis was a mentor for me," recalls Gabriele Petagine '23, now a settlement analyst at Goldman Sachs. "Using his experience in the financial industry, he would send my LinkedIn profile to contacts, and we would set up a time to speak. That networking opportunity helped me figure out what specific part of the financial industry I was interested in."

Located along the Hudson River in Hoboken, the Stevens campus is just the right size—small enough for students and faculty to feel like family, yet large enough to receive significant research awards and support from leading industry and government partners. Here, the world is your classroom, your network and your future.

"I'm grateful for having done my education here at Stevens because I don't think I would have been able to have these opportunities anywhere else,” said Arianna Valentina-Dǎrîngǎ '25.
