When Sofia Udaipurwala helped her mother turn a passion for hand embroidery and crochet into a real business, it wasn’t just encouragement she offered. She built the digital catalog, managed the marketing, applied analytics to track growth and helped grow BADEIU to more than 20 monthly organic sales, with an 86 percent increase in profile activity during peak seasons.

That instinct has carried through her MBA at Stevens, where she carries a 4.0 GPA and leads her Industry Capstone Program team on a Healthcare AI Underpayment and Claims Appeals project. She coordinates faculty advisors, manages timelines and ensures every team member has what they need to contribute. She also serves as Social Chair for the Business Intelligence and Analytics Club, a role she grew into after first volunteering with the organization on social media and event support. She complements what she’s learning at Stevens by pursuing professional development in finance, consulting, quantitative methods and communication with certifications from Harvard Business Impact Education and Emory University.

Udaipurwala has held several professional roles where she has driven real impact. At Future Consumer Limited, she supported a product launch that increased website traffic by 47% and helped recover 15% of lost orders through improved customer engagement. At Integrated Risk Insurance Brokers, she worked directly with the Managing Director and CEO on more than 50 corporate insurance portfolios, contributing to claims processing, totaling more than $120,000.

She volunteers with Ashadham Ashram and has contributed to COVID-19 relief fundraising through the Bohra Youth Foundation. Before Stevens, she graduated with a 3.96 GPA from KC College in Mumbai, rising from volunteer to International PR Coordinator for two of the college's flagship cultural festivals, a role in which she doubled international student participation during her term.
