What is Voomi?
Voomi is an AI-run carpool app that connects trustworthy members of the community to kids who have busy extracurricular activities. The goal is to relieve stress from parents and to give dependable members of the community who don't necessarily want a part-time job a chance to make some money without a full-time commitment. Key features include messaging, background checks, carpool help for kids going to the same place and GPS tracking.

What is the biggest challenge you faced during the competition, and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge I faced was the two-minute time constraint. I overcame it by revising the video script, only including the most important details, and speeding up the video slightly to make sure all details were included.

What was the most valuable lesson you learned from competing in this AI entrepreneurship challenge?
The most valuable lesson I learned is not procrastinate until the final moments. There were many challenges I faced while recording that I did not foresee when I originally began the project.

What sparked your interest in AI and entrepreneurship, and how do you see the two fields working together in the future?
I have become interested in AI as I believe it will be a very important skill and asset in the future. I think the people who will be leading the world will all have a phenomenal understanding of the world of AI. I have taken a great interest in entrepreneurship ever since my dad showed me my first episode of Shark Tank in 2018. I have always loved the idea of creating a business and being able to change the world, along with being able to achieve financial freedom. I also want control over a business, versus having the same schedule every day. The two fields of AI and entrepreneurship will be directly impacted by one another, and I think the top businesses in the world will be AI-driven or use AI to help run certain things.

What was your impression of Stevens School of Business before the competition, and has it changed after participating?
Before the competition, I was unfamiliar with the school, but now I think it is a great school that people should definitely look into applying to, especially if they're into business, tech or AI. Overall, the competition was run very well, and all the questions I had were met with a quick and satisfactory response.

Did this competition influence your thoughts about studying AI, business, or both in college?
Yes, for sure. I definitely will be looking to go to college for business or AI in the future, as this competition really boosted my interest in both of these topics.
