Sports brought Megan Petuskey ’16 MBA ’23 to Stevens. She never looked back. “I was recruited to play basketball and the minute I arrived at Castle Point, I knew it was the spot for me,” she says. “The campus and the team had amazing energy and the views were incredible! I also knew that I would have access to endless career opportunities given the reputation of the school and its proximity to New York City.”

In addition to pursuing her business and technology coursework and interning at Dynamic Security Concepts, Inc., Petuskey played in 86 career contests over four years, earning recognition as the Stevens Sportswoman of the Year in 2014-15. She also served on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

“My favorite Stevens memory is when the women’s basketball team had the privilege of hosting the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament in my senior year,” she recalls. “We had all of our friends and family in a packed arena, won back-to-back games and made it to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time in program history.”

After graduation, Petuskey began her career at Pfizer as a business technology rotational associate, circuiting through four different areas of Pfizer Global Supply and Finance Business Technology. Over the next ten years, she succeeded in increasingly responsible roles at Pfizer, first as a global external supply business technology associate, as a senior associate, Digital Client Partner Pfizer Global Supply and then as a digital client partner, Pfizer Global Supply Strategic Projects & Business Operations. In 2025, she assumed the role of senior manager, Pfizer Global Supply Business Operations & Recognition.

“I support executive operations and drive key programs and communications across a 30,000-person organization,” Petuskey explains. “I co-lead an initiative called Pfizer’s School of Science Mobile Experience which brings me the most joy. It is a mobile escape room that we take on the road across North America, visiting our manufacturing sites and partnering with them to bring local students through the experience to teach them about science and manufacturing. Seeing the excitement of colleagues and the participating students is so motivating and reminds me how impactful one experience can be in shaping your future aspirations.”

In 2023, Petuskey earned her MBA at Stevens, with a concentration in innovative technology. “In both my undergrad and graduate programs, most exams were delivered in the form of a presentation,” she points out. “Especially in my undergrad, having to consistently present in front of large groups positioned me well to speak confidently in public, including in job interviews. I learned how to drive key messages forward. I currently find myself in many customer- and public-facing roles where these skills shine through each day. Classes in project management taught me key principles and ways of working that I carry through each project I deliver.”

“My business degree offered a comprehensive curriculum, ranging from finance to marketing to information systems, that I believe has contributed to my ability to successfully pivot between different organizations at Pfizer,” she adds.

Petuskey’s ongoing connection with Stevens goes beyond academics. “Since graduation, I’ve had the pleasure of serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the women’s basketball team,” she says. “In this role, I have an opportunity to give back to the program that gave so much to me.”

“In addition to being present for players at most practices and games, I also share with them the importance of making the most of their time at Stevens,” Petuskey continues. “I work with them on their resumes and encourage them to take advantage of the many resources available to them at Stevens. I take the time to learn about their future aspirations and help them as much as I can each step of the way. We have such a strong network of alumni who are supportive of the team. It means the world to me to be able to keep everyone connected and learning from one another.”

Petuskey is excited to receive the Harold R. Fee 1920 Alumni Achievement Award. “I am incredibly humbled,” she says. “My time at Stevens truly shaped who I am today. Giving back is so important and finding a way to do so with a program that had such a strong impact on me means even more. Over the last decade, I’ve developed a deeper appreciation for the university’s longstanding traditions. I’ve also watched players go on to achieve their dreams. Being just a small part of their journey is a true honor. In fact, getting to the gym for practice or a game after work is the highlight of my day. Being recognized for doing something that I love so deeply is beautiful to me.”

Through her volunteer involvement, Petuskey sees firsthand the unique energy alumni bring to campus. “Being a Stevens student is an honor — it offers you so much opportunity and challenges you every day,” she says. “I think seeing people who have cherished their time so much that they’re looking for ways to give back, donate and help those around them is inspiring. Alumni drive the legacy of Stevens by sharing treasured memories and carrying on the university’s traditions.

Petuskey also encourages students to say yes to every opportunity. “College is such a formative time of your life, so making sure that you enjoy each day, even the difficult ones, is very important,” she says. “Stevens offers so many resources, from professors and staff who are eager to help you in any way possible to proximity to some of the world’s best professional and cultural opportunities. It is important that you know what (and who) is available and to find a way to take advantage of it all. The more you do while at Stevens, the more you set yourself up for a successful future.”
