ABSTRACT
Research methods and technical paper writing are very important for graduate students. This seminar discusses how to identify research questions, review literature, design studies, and write technical papers. It also discusses the use of AI and large language models in research and writing. Particular attention is given to critical thinking, independent judgment, and academic integrity when using these tools.
BIOGRAPHY
Professor Yu-Dong Yao has been with Stevens Institute of Technology since 2000. He served as Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2007 to 2018. His research interests include applications of machine learning, deep learning, and large language models in wireless communications and engineering research. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and the National Academy of Inventors.
