General Information
Kaijian Liu joined Stevens on October 1, 2019 as an Assistant Professor of the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Ocean Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Computational Engineering and Science, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Liu's research interests lie in the fields of sensing, artificial intelligence (AI), and cyber-physical systems (CPS) for sustainable and resilient built environment. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), United States Geological Survey (USGS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Army, among other funding agencies. Actively involved in professional service, Dr. Liu has served as the Young Member of the Executive Committee of the ASCE’s Computing Division, and currently serves as the Secretary the Data Sensing And Analysis Committee of ASCE’s Computing Division. He also currently serves as an Associate Editor for the ASCE Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering.
