General Information
My research spans the fields of applied probability—focusing on service operations, stochastic networks, and stochastic control—and statistics, with an emphasis on sequential learning and inference for stochastic processes. Additionally, my work bridges these areas to develop analytical tools that leverage the vast amounts of operational data available today, aiming to enhance the efficiency of large-scale service operations, production systems, and retail environments. I have actively collaborated with researchers across multiple engineering disciplines, including communication networks, financial engineering, and quantum computing, as well as in scientific fields such as population dynamics and infectious disease modeling.
Appointed at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I served as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies from 2020 to 2024. In this role, I was responsible for the academic oversight, development, and strategic growth of 10 Master's programs and 3 MBA programs, collectively serving a graduate student body of 1,400 to 1,600 within the School of Business. I chaired the School Graduate Curriculum Committee, overseeing the strategic coordination of Graduate Program Directors, the promotion of recent curriculum developments, international academic partnerships, and the comprehensive review of applications, selectivity, and enrollment metrics.
