The Stevens School of Business is offering an immersive four-week virtual summer research program focused on quantitative finance, where students delve into the fascinating world of financial analysis and data-driven decision-making. This program is designed for ambitious high school students with an interest in finance, probability and statistical methodologies, and computer science—aiming to equip them with essential skills and certifications highly valued in the industry.

Program Highlights:

  • Hands-on Learning: Participants will engage in interactive lectures, practical exercises, and real-world case studies, gaining a deep understanding of quantitative finance concepts.

  • Bloomberg Certification: Students will have the opportunity to earn a Bloomberg Market Concepts certification.

  • Capital IQ Certification: Through guided tutorials and practical sessions, students will also earn a Capital IQ certification, mastering the use of this powerful financial database for investment research and analysis.

  • Coding Skills Development: While some familiarity with coding is required, the program will further enhance students' coding skills, particularly in languages like R, essential for quantitative analysis in finance.

Eligibility:

  • Rising juniors and seniors entering the fall 2026 academic year

  • Coding experience preferred

  • Familiarity with MS Excel

Program Details:

  • Duration: July 6, 2026 - July 31. 2026

  • Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am - 12pm

  • Format: Virtual, synchronous format with live interactive sessions, and self-paced learning modules

  • Tuition: $2500
