Q&A with Vincent Capizzi, Full Professor of Banking and Finance at UPO
What were the main challenges you faced in establishing this partnership, and how did you overcome them?
The main challenge lies in the different and complex administrative procedures that both institutions have to comply with. However, the close relationship between the key figures on both sides, as well as the strong willingness to collaborate, was a major driver in overcoming any issue.
What feedback have you received from students and graduates about their experience in the program?
We have received amazing feedback, with particular reference to the faculty and the direction of the program. The students feel constantly monitored and supported.
What are the primary benefits students gain from this dual-degree experience compared to traditional programs?
Students come away with a stronger background, enhanced network and better placement opportunities.
How do you measure the long-term success of this collaboration beyond just enrollment numbers?
I think the ratio of students placed in the top-reputed financial institutions to enrolled students is a good proxy for long-term success. Another measure might be the number of various initiatives jointly run by both institutions.
