ABSTRACT
In the world of bridge engineering, our clients are typically the public agencies who own, operate, and maintain the bridges we use every day. This presentation will discuss the various consulting roles a bridge engineer may fill when working public agencies, specifically focusing on Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build contracts.
BIOGRAPHY
Lauren Herbert is a Professional Engineer at Thornton Tomasetti with over 17 years of experience in bridge design and rehabilitation. She is an alum of Stevens Institute of Technology, receiving her B.E. in 2009, and M.E. in 2010. She is currently working on various projects at the Verrazzano Bridge, Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, and Throgs Neck Bridge.
