Stevens is closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to provide the best options to get to know us. During the month of February, we will host limited-capacity, outdoor campus tours. Please see below for additional information.
We are not able to provide in-person admissions presentations or individual meetings at this time. We are hosting virtual information sessions led by a Stevens Admissions Counselor. We encourage you to take advantage of these virtual opportunities. Please register for a session through the campus visit portal.
Our admissions team is available to answer your calls and emails. We encourage you to contact your admissions counselor directly. Please visit the Meet Our Staff page to obtain direct contact information. We thank you for your understanding during this time and ask that you continue to check the Stevens website for updates.
All guests must register for an in-person campus tour at least 24 hours in advance of arriving on campus (or by 4pm the Friday before a Monday event). Due to limited capacity, visitors must be high school seniors who applied for Fall 2021 admission, juniors who are interested in applying to Stevens for Fall 2022 or transfers interested in applying for Fall 2021. Due to guidance on travel to New Jersey from other states and territories, we are only able to welcome visitors from New Jersey and the immediate regions of New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Due to social distancing guidelines, visiting parties are limited to two individuals: the prospective student and one guest. We cannot accommodate walk-in visitors or anyone who is not registered in advance. We hope to be able to increase our capacity in the future and allow more visitors. Campus Visits are posted to the calendar through March 12 and additional dates will be added when they become available.
If you are from a state that is not on the approved list or will have visited one within 14 days of the date you wish to visit campus, please do not register or come to campus. You may contact us so that we can make other recommendations for getting to know Stevens. Should states we are able to welcome visitors from change, we will post information here.
Tour groups are limited to ten people and tours will be conducted entirely outdoors. Visitors will not be able to access any campus buildings beyond the Ruesterholz Admissions Center. Please come prepared for the weather conditions, especially in the winter months.
Visitors will receive a registration confirmation email upon registering and additional information in the form of an Approved Visitor email 24 hours prior to the scheduled visit. Visitors must bring the Approved Visitor email with them to Stevens and present it either on paper or electronically at check-in. You must always have this email available while visiting the Stevens campus.
Academic Campus Tours
Academic Tour Update: There are no Academic Tours scheduled at this time.
We offer academic campus tours during the school year for insights to specific academic interest areas. You will have the opportunity to see the laboratory spaces, learn about the department's majors and curriculum, and ask questions to an upperclassman tour guide in that major. Tour times are approximately 60 minutes. The tour will be indoors and outdoors, so please check the weather forecast before visiting.
Attend a Class
Attend a Class Update: There are no Attend a Class options scheduled at this time.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has handpicked a variety of classes for prospective students to observe in engineering, computer science, the humanities, busiess, and science. These classes were chosen to mirror the types of courses you would be taking as an underclassmen. You can attend any class session, regardless of your intended major. 'Attend a Class' is intended for applicants and admitted students only. To register, please click "Register for a Campus Visit" and select available dates on the calendar to view class options.
Admissions Interview Update: Virtual Admissions Interviews for Fall 2021 first year applicants have concluded.
The admissions interview is a one-on-one meeting between a prospective high school senior or transfer student and a member of the Undergraduate Admissions staff or an alumnus. Interviews are available Monday-Friday on campus or, if you live outside of a sixty mile radius of Stevens, via a video call. Interviews for High School applicants wishing to enroll in the fall term must be completed by their application deadline.
For students applying to the accelerated pre-medicine program, Stevens will contact applicants to schedule an interview following our initial application review. Select students will be contacted, as not all applicants are guaranteed an interview with Stevens.
Visit Days are held throughout the year for both general audiences and specific cohorts of prospective students. Join us virtually to learn more about the admissions process, ask current Stevens students about their experience, and attend academic overviews led by faculty members and staff across engineering, computer science, sciences, humanities and arts, and business. The next Visit Day will be held online on Saturday, March 6 from 12pm-2pm EST.
Diversity Day is a program for current high school seniors who want to learn more about diversity and are considering applying for admission to Stevens. Registration for Fall 2020 Diversity Days has passed.
Group Visit Update: If you are interested in arranging a virtual information session for your group, please contact Sarah Thompson at [email protected]
To schedule a group visit, click the registration link below. We ask that you make your group visit request at least 3 weeks and up to 3 months out from the preferred date. A typical campus visit will include an Information Session, led by an Admissions Counselor, and a private campus tour. We can also customize your agenda, if you'd like to learn more about a specific program we offer here at Stevens. Group visits are intended for high schools and organizations looking to come to campus with 15-40 people in their party.
